Any company that hires through campuses, invariably conducts the following stages:

  1) Screening tests:Online Aptitude, Verbal and Technical test
  2) Group Discussions
  3) Technical and HR Interviews followed by the MR interview.

Most of us are good at our technical knowledge, but what is the point if you can't pass the screening round? So that being the fact, it is absolutely necessary to be good at it.

But, before starting the preparation for the Aptitude Test a person should know; what is Aptitude Test? What types of Aptitude Tests are there?

Aptitude Test is a test designed to determine a person’s ability in a particular skill or field of knowledge. 

There are mainly two types of Aptitude Test  1) Arithmetic and  2) Data Interpretation

Under Arithmetic Aptitude Tests the questions will be related to – problems on Trains, Time and Work, Profit and Loss, Problems on Ages, Average, Permutation and Combinations, Problems on H.C.F and L.C.M, Banker`s Discount, Stocks and Share, Time and Distance, Simple Interest, Partnership, Area, Ration and Proportion, Boats and Steams and many more. In Data Interpretation Tests mostly questions will be related to – Table Chart, Pie Chart, Bar Chart, Line Chart.

There are certain methods and techniques that a student or a Job seeker should follow to ensure that he or she scores high marks and finish the test with flying colours. However, for this they need to familiarise themselves with the types of Aptitude Test they would be encountering and Practice accordingly. There is a another point that a candidate should take into consideration before the preparation, that is every Job require different types of preparation and formats and all of them has significant differences.
